Hardware Sales Executive


The Sales Specialist (OEM Sales Executive) role is responsible for selling Global Asset Recovery Services (GARS) solutions, such as New & Used OEM IT Equipment, Asset Recovery Services, portfolio management and delivery solutions to assigned clients, driving external revenue and profit growth for the business. Among their top responsibilities will be to identify key decision makers and build trusted relationships with customers so we can identify and compete to win their IT transactions while positively influencing customer satisfaction with respect to the engagement. Individuals will also need a solid understanding of secondary market for the IT equipment.

In addition to working externally with clients and business partners, this person will work closely with internal IBM client teams and brand specialists to structure hardware and service solutions. In addition, this person would work closely with IGF (IBM Global Finance) colleagues as New OEM selling should include IGF financial services.

Willingness to be 'proactive' and reach out to clients to setup calls vs. being 'reactive' and awaiting deals to come to them. Must take ownership of all aspects of the sale -- manage the end-to-end deal process from identification to closure including proficiency of all required IBM Sales Management tools and procedures for contracts, quotes, forecasting, opportunity management, etc. Other skills required include demonstration of drive, ownership, agility, collaboration, learning mindset, putting the client first, listening for need--envisioning the future, personal interest, structure, and communications.
